Job summary
A leading chemical manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior R&D Chemist to support product development and production operations. You will develop and improve product formulations, conduct lab testing, and resolve formulation and quality issues. Ideal candidates will have hands-on formulation experience and a background in personal care, cosmetics, and household detergents. This position requires guiding junior chemists and preparing technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience in product development within personal care and cosmetics.
- Ability to author and review technical documentation.
- Experience guiding junior chemists or lab technicians.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve product formulations.
- Conduct lab testing, stability tests, and production trials.
- Resolve formulation and quality issues during production.
- Support raw material evaluation and cost optimisation.
- Prepare technical documents and specifications.
- Guide junior R&D chemists and lab technicians.
Skills
We are looking for a Senior R&D Chemist with strong hands‑on formulation experience to support product development and production operations in a personal care, cosmetics and household detergent manufacturing environment.
