Job summary
A dynamic multinational company based in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant. The role includes maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, and supporting audits. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in financial reporting or with an audit background. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel is essential.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in general ledger or financial reporting.
- Experience in audit (especially with big 4 firms) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS / local GAAP).
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with accounting policies.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports.
Prepare tax filings and work with Group Tax team for statutory submission.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Assist in audits (internal and external) by preparing schedules and documentation.
Support process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Perform ad hoc assignments as and when required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification or progress towards Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) preferred.
2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in general ledger or financial reporting. Experience in audit (especially big 4) is preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS / local GAAP).
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Excel.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
