Your new role
Reporting to the HR Director, you will join the Regional HR team as one of 4 HR Managers allocated to a "region". Your role will involve creating strong business partnering relationships with internal stakeholders, fully partnering with a geographical area, and leading the delivery of the People Plan through project management, change management, and people development activities. You will also be responsible for line managing one or more direct reports.

You will:

1. Be recognized as a leader in HR matters by key stakeholders and the leadership team, adding value through strong commercial awareness of both wider and local business environments.
2. Lead the development and implementation of HR change projects.
3. Negotiate with unions, utilizing well-developed relationships.
4. Lead restructuring projects.
5. Promote the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda across all areas of responsibility, encouraging involvement.
6. Develop and embed new HR/business procedures or initiatives as necessary.
7. Enhance understanding of talent management, including the use of succession management processes.
8. Lead key senior-level recruitment activities.
9. Work with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to utilize HR Key Performance Indicators to develop programs aimed at addressing issues like high absence and high labor turnover.
10. Participate as a key member of regional/business management teams and attend relevant meetings.
11. Define and lead occupational health programs.

This role is based at the head office with regional site visits—approximately twice a month to Wales (overnight stay) and other locations, appealing to those who enjoy multisite work. It is a fast-paced role requiring someone who can deliver comprehensive HR services efficiently.

What you'll need to succeed

• A solid background in operational HR support and strategic initiatives.
• Experience from construction, manufacturing, engineering, or similar sectors.
• Experience in fast-paced blue-collar environments.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
