Job summary
A building control consultancy in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced Registered Building Inspector offering flexibility in working hours and high income potential. Candidates will support building control work, which includes conducting site inspections and gaining exposure to high-quality projects. Ideal candidates will have appropriate qualifications and the ability to manage remote work effectively, engaging in site work on an average of 2-3 days per week.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Registered Building Inspector is essential.
- Flexibility in work location with remote options available.
- Willingness to participate in site inspections 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Support varied portfolio of Building Control work across East Midlands.
- Conduct regular site inspections as required.
- Assist in HRB projects under supervision for registration advancement.

£55 - £90/hr DOE | Outside IR35 | Long‑term Contract
We are newly working on a long‑term contract opportunity supporting a varied portfolio of Building Control work across the East Midlands – those based in and around Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Sheffield areas would be well positioned (though due to the low volume of site days, RBI’s further afield would also be considered).
The position is predominantly remote, complemented by regular site inspection opportunities for those who prefer to be on site (on average, up to 2‑3 days/wk on site, the rest from home). For those that are interested, with one of these vacancies, there is even opportunity to gain exposure on HRB projects under supervision and subsequently move up the registration classes.
