Overview
The Rotor wing General Aviation team within the Global Aerospace division is looking for an Account Executive to join a small team managing a client base of over 1,000 helicopters operated by private and commercial rotor wing organizations in the UK & EEU. You will manage a portfolio of business, both direct and via agents, responsible for all aspects of annual renewal negotiations, mid-term adjustments, and ad hoc services. Approximately 60% of clients are direct, and over 25% are based in EU/EEA countries.
How you'll make an impact:
- Managing a portfolio of accounts from enquiry through the renewal process, effectively gathering information and instructions from helicopter owners and operators.
- Proactively discussing renewal terms with customers, preparing and producing policy quotes and documentation using the IBS platform.
- Promptly responding to all client inquiries throughout the policy period.
- Supporting senior directors on large, complex fleet policies as needed.
- Working with third-party brokers when necessary.
- Attending client meetings, shows, and events as required.
- Managing your own monthly renewal list efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with departmental procedures and targets.
- Contributing to operational and team development.
- Continuously seeking to expand your technical skills to support the business.
About You
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, with knowledge of general insurance products and services.
- Excellent client service focus; the customer is your top priority.
- Previous experience managing Binding Authority/Schemes (general commercial schemes or equivalent).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- IT competent, including IBS, Excel, and e-file management.
- Ability to manage a busy workload in an organized manner.
- Committed to building industry knowledge and personal development.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable but not essential skills:
- Aviation insurance knowledge.
- An interest in aviation.
- Holding or working towards Chartered Insurance Institute qualification.
- Previous experience with the IBS risk processing platform.
