A manufacturing company located in Johor Bahru is seeking a security officer to ensure safety within the premises. The ideal candidate will maintain records of incidents, monitor emergency systems, manage visitor access, and conduct patrols. Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience in a security role and possess an SPM or equivalent professional certificate. This position involves close interactions with staff and visitors, and demands vigilance and adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain records of previous incidents and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
Report unusual incidents such as fires, floods, thefts, etc. to designated authorities.
Ensure emergency contact numbers (fire, ambulance, police) and other important numbers are clearly displayed and accessible.
Monitor and operate firefighting panels, flood panels, and low water pressure meters.
Control entry and exit at the main gate for vehicles, visitors, suppliers, and contractors.
Verify appointments for all visitors and suppliers before granting access.
Issue visitor passes and entry permits to authorized visitors.
Ensure employees submit a gate pass signed by their respective superior before leaving.
Conduct scheduled patrols during the day and night (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
Make sure to be in the canteen & locker area at the time deemed necessary (at least once/day).
Perform spot checks on all workers and vehicles leaving the premises.
Check every pedestrian (worker) when exiting the factory area.
Operate and monitor CCTV systems for security coverage.
Manage traffic flow and parking zones, including designated areas for pregnant employees and managers.
Make an accurate count of arriving van/bus passengers and record vehicle arrival times.
Ensure the workers do not throw cigarette butts or trash in unauthorized area.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Human Resources Department.
SPM / Professional Certificate in any field
A minimum of 3 years of related experience
