A leading glove manufacturing company is seeking a Safety and Health Officer to ensure SHE compliance and improve environmental sustainability. The role involves developing policies, conducting inspections, and leading training. Candidates must possess a valid Green Book and have at least 3 years of ESH experience. Located in Sitiawan, Perak, this position offers an opportunity to promote safety and operational excellence in a dynamic environment.
Possess strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 (Occupational Safety & Health), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems), and support internal and external audits within a glove manufacturing environment.
Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs), and SHE programs relevant to glove manufacturing processes, including dipping lines, chemical handling, utilities, and warehousing.
Act as Secretariat for the SHE Committee, ensuring meetings, records, and follow-up actions comply with statutory and company requirements.
Conduct routine workplace inspections across production lines, chemical storage areas, boiler rooms, utilities, and laboratories to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
Monitor and ensure statutory compliance activities such as CIMAH, Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA), Noise Risk Assessment, Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV), and industrial hygiene monitoring are carried out and completed within required timelines.
Lead accident, incident, and near‑miss investigations related to machinery, chemicals, ergonomics, and process safety, and submit reports to relevant authorities in a timely manner.
Liaise with regulatory bodies including DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and other relevant authorities on SHE‑related matters.
Conduct SHE training and safety awareness programs for production operators, contractors, and staff, focusing on chemical safety, machine safety, PPE usage, and emergency response.
Promote continuous improvement and propose practical, innovative solutions to enhance SHE performance, reduce incidents, and improve environmental sustainability in glove manufacturing operations.
Carry out any other duties assigned by management in relation to SHE compliance and operational safety.
