A manufacturing firm in Pasir Gudang is looking for a dedicated Safety and Health Officer to ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations and promote a safe workplace. Key responsibilities include conducting audits and inspections, supporting OSH programs, and training staff on safety protocols. The ideal candidate has a degree in Occupational Safety & Health and at least 5 years of relevant experience, along with strong leadership and analytical skills.
Ensure the plant operates in full compliance with all Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) regulations and other applicable statutory requirements.
Manage and liaise with DOSH and other relevant government agencies on licensing, inspection, and compliance matters.
Ensure the company’s compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, Factories and Machinery Act 1967, and related regulations, fostering a safe and healthy workplace.
Promote responsible business practices encompassing Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) and Environmental Sustainability initiatives.
Conduct periodic audits and routine inspections of treatment systems and facilities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal checklists.
Prepare and review performance monitoring reports in accordance with DOSH requirements and company policies.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement programs and initiatives related to workplace safety, health, and environmental performance.
Compile and present Monthly Safety and Environmental Reports to management.
Assist the company and the Safety and Health Committee in planning, organizing, and implementing OSH programs and awareness campaigns.
Support the company and the Safety and Health Committee in workplace inspections to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of safety measures.
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near‑misses; prepare detailed reports and ensure timely submission to the relevant authorities.
Facilitate safety trainings, emergency drills, and awareness programs to strengthen safety culture across all departments.
