Job summary

A leading beverage manufacturer in Shah Alam is seeking a Quality Control Officer to perform packaging material checks and ensure quality standards. The role involves routine analysis, preventive maintenance, and teamwork in a dynamic shift environment. Candidates with a diploma or bachelor’s in science or food studies and those with relevant experience will be prioritized, although fresh graduates are welcome to apply. A strong commitment to quality and effective communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in quality control/assurance in a related environment is preferred.
• Good knowledge of packaging laboratory skills including analysis and instrument handling.
• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel.

Job description

Role Overview

Perform incoming packaging material checks, packaging line checks, finished product checks in bond and third‑party warehouses to ensure conformity to Carlsberg Malaysia quality requirements and standards. Execute 5S and audit in the packaging laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine incoming packaging materials and finished product analysis, QCSPC data entry.
• Trend analysis and corrective action if any deviation is detected.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration for laboratory instruments as per the master list schedule.
• Handle non‑conformance of incoming packaging materials and finished products (e.g., issue POH, SCAR and follow‑up).
• Randomly check stocks in bond and third‑party warehouses to ensure they conform to Carlsberg Malaysia quality requirements (e.g., freshness, FIFO).
• Coordinate 5S activities for the packaging laboratory and conduct audit to assess the condition.
• Actively participate in sectional continual improvement projects.
• Relieve and/or support Chemical/Micro laboratory staff when required.
• Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Food Studies or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in quality control/assurance, preferably in a food/beverage manufacturing environment.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good knowledge in packaging laboratory skills (e.g., analysis, instrument handling, methods), ISO 9001, HACCP and SPC.
• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Honest, cooperative, able to communicate effectively, good stakeholder management, team player and independent.
• Demonstrate quality in work: accurate, thorough and effective.
• Able to work in shifts.

Working Time: 4 crew 3 shift (7am – 3pm / 3pm – 11pm / 11pm – 7am)
