Job Purpose

Working as a laboratory analyst to conduct fertilizer analysis of various required testing parameters.

Work location

FGV Analytical Laboratory, Pusat Penyelidikan Pertanian Tun Razak, Jerantut, Pahang.

Key Accountabilities
Strategy and Planning
  • To ensure all laboratory activities conducted comply with laboratory policies and procedures.
  • To provide analytical services that fulfil customer requests while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • To ensure the laboratory is well stocked and resourced for daily operation.
  • To keep laboratory and designated workspaces tidy, orderly, secure, and ready for use.
Development and Application of New Technologies
  • Implementation of continual improvement initiatives such as 5S practices and KAIZEN planning and implementation.
Technical Expertise
  • To perform various fertilizer sample preparation techniques such as sample digestion for total nutrient content, citric acid‑soluble phosphorus, water‑soluble phosphorus and water‑soluble magnesium.
  • To perform various fertilizer testing methods such as determination of chlorine content, total N, nitrate N, pH value, Sulfate and particle size distribution analysis.
  • Skilled in using laboratory glassware and equipment such as weighing balance, Oven, pH meter, vacuum pump, block digester, Kjehdahl distillation unit, and other related equipment.
  • To have a basic understanding of the ISO 17025:2017.
  • To have a good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Job Requirement
