APPLIED AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES Sdn. The R&D Lab Unit at AAR plays a pivotal role in advancing research and development initiatives aimed at integrating chemistry into Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) to optimise oil palm cultivation. Our primary objective is to support the crop production division in ensuring we are in forefront with new techinuqes and technology to improve our laboratory method and broaden the scope of testing.
We develop novel analytical techniques to explore beyond conventional parameters, aiding precise decision-making in the plantation
We enhance our current laboratory methods to improve efficiency and productivity in our commercial analytical testing services
We provide internal laboratory services and work with crop production department to support and complement their research program
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Research Assistant to join our team on a two-year contract, with the potential for an extension based on performance.
Duration: Two years, with the possibility of extension at two-year intervals.
Performance Evaluation: Based on performance and contribution, successful candidates may have the opportunity to transition to permanent employment.
Possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or higher degree in Chemistry from a recognised institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.50
Strong academic foundation in analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, and laboratory-based research
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent scientific research, including experimental planning, execution, and documentation
Experience or exposure to research projects, final-year projects, or postgraduate research is highly advantageous
Ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and translate findings into practical laboratory applications
Committed to maintaining high standards of laboratory safety, data integrity, and research ethics
Willing to work in a research-intensive laboratory environment and meet project timelines and deliverables
