Job description
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience with chemicals and testing.
  • Preferably a registered Chemist in Institute Kimia Malaysia (IKM).
  • To work in Kuantan, Pahang.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in laboratory equipment and techniques, including XRF analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and compliance regulation.
  • An RPO certificate is preferable and will enhance your application.
Job Descriptions
  • Responsible for routine laboratory quality control analyses.
  • Perform quality control tests and maintain detailed records of all experiments and results.
  • Obtains samples for routine quality control purposes personally from the production processes.
  • Verifies all internal and external test reports and certificates.
  • Reports to the plant manager on all discrepancies/disputes of the quality of the products.
  • Carry out internal calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Carry out analysis using XRF analysis.
  • Update product analysis for all products that have been tested.
  • Train lab assistants on new equipment and analysis techniques.
  • Arrange for external calibration of lab equipment and external analyses of products.
  • Restock lab equipment and chemicals necessary for testing.
  • Ensure all laboratory documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for QAQC departments.
