We are looking for a Senior Laboratory Executive to join our laboratory team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, supporting operational decisions, and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards. The successful candidate will be hands-on in laboratory testing, data analysis, and quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operate laboratory equipment such as two-roll mills and press machines for sample preparation.

Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage, and traceability of samples.

Prepare primers for big fender production in accordance with timelines and quality requirements.

Organize sample sets for customer witness inspections based on agreed specifications.

Support laboratory operations during manpower constraints, including rubber sample collection and preparation.

Quality Assurance & Testing

Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory tests including hardness, density, tensile, Mooney viscosity, and curelastometer testing.

Perform specialized testing such as TGA, bond strength, abrasion resistance, and dynamic fatigue tests.

Investigate and resolve test deviations or non-conformities.

Verify approval of incoming raw materials against established standards.

Prepare and verify delivery and quality documentation prior to product release.

Maintain accurate laboratory and quality records in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze test data to identify trends, deviations, and potential quality risks.

Evaluate results against specifications and authorize release of compliant compounds where applicable.

Prepare clear, timely laboratory and quality reports.

Participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Laboratory Maintenance & Environment Control

Assist in equipment maintenance and internal verification activities.

Monitor and record laboratory environmental conditions to ensure test validity.

Safety & Management System Compliance

Contribute to the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and company quality systems.

Support risk-based thinking and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ laboratory experience, preferably in the rubber or manufacturing industry.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of laboratory testing and quality control methods.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 (preferred).

Knowledge of measurement uncertainty concepts.

Proficient in laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

High attention to detail and strong data integrity.

Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility: Willing to work shifts or extended hours when required.
