· Assist in maintaining the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), depreciation provisions, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and other related financial records. Able to liaise effectively with external auditors, tax consultants, and appointed financial advisors.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
· Generate financial reports and provide analysis to support management decision-making.
· Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS).
3. Tax Management
· Ensure adherence to Malaysian tax laws and regulations.
· Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities as required.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
· Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
· Monitor actual expenses and revenues against budgets, providing variance analysis.
5. Cash Flow & Cost Management
· Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
· Manage accounts receivable collections and accounts payable schedules to optimize cash flow.
6. Audit & Compliance
· Support annual audits by maintaining accurate records and ensuring statutory compliance.
· Coordinate with external auditors and address audit issues promptly.
· Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
7. Other Financial Duties
· Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management.
· Ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with internal policies.
· Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies.
· Identify and propose areas for improvement as needed.
· Support various functional activities at the group level.
