Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a professional qualification.
- Minimum 3-5 years of solid full set accounting experience in Malaysia and Singapore, preferably in financial or fintech industries.
- Well-versed with Malaysia and Singapore accounting and tax systems.
- Proficient in both written and spoken Mandarin.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- High integrity, confidentiality, meticulousness, teamwork, adaptability, and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; well-versed in QuickBooks.
Responsibilities
- Handle full sets of accounts and statutory reports independently for companies in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
- Examine bank statements and reconcile with general ledger entries.
- Perform monthly financial reporting and management accounting, reporting to Hong Kong headquarters.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly accounts and financial reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Manage all accounting and financial functions, including maintaining the accounting system, journal entries, reconciliations, GL, AR, AP, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for monthly budget planning and assist in financial analysis of P&L and balance sheets.
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, secretarial agents, and government authorities as needed.
- Manage tax matters, including tax computations, estimates, GST/SST filings, ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Assist in enhancing financial and management reporting systems, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
