Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Executive to oversee the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing full-set accounts, financial reporting, tax compliance, and cash flow management. This role requires an independent professional who can ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Full-Set Accounting
    • Manage full-set accounts including general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and fixed assets.
    • Record all daily financial transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation.
    • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
    • Generate financial reports and provide analysis for management decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS).
  2. Tax Management
    • Prepare and file SST, Corporate Tax, and other statutory tax filings.
    • Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws and regulations.
    • Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities when required.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
    • Track actual expenses and revenues against the budget, providing variance analysis.
  4. Cash Flow & Cost Management
    • Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
    • Manage accounts receivable collections and accounts payable schedules to optimize cash flow.
    • Identify opportunities for cost-saving and process improvements.
  5. Audit & Compliance
    • Assist with annual audits, ensuring accurate records and compliance with statutory requirements.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and resolve audit issues promptly.
    • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  6. Other Financial Duties
    • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management.
    • Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, SST, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks, or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
