The Application Engineer for the Pneumatics, Electric Automation & Feeding System will provide technical expertise, customer support, and customized solutions for the company’s automation and handling systems in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. This role requires a solid technical background in electric & pneumatics automation, feeding units, and handling systems and experience in application engineering and customer interactions within the automation industry. The Application Engineer will work closely with sales, R&D, and product teams to meet client needs and support project implementations.

• Technical Support & Solution Development:
  • Act as the primary technical contact for enquiries, guiding customers in product selection, system design, and solving.
  • Develop tailored solutions to address client needs, considering operational requirements, environmental conditions, and budget constraints.
  • Work alongside the sales team to create compelling technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
• Application Engineering & Product Expertise:
  • Serve as a domain expert, advising on applications and standard processes.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs, assess existing setups, and provide recommendations for improvements or new installations.
  • Communicate effectively to customers regarding feeding system concepts and technical user documentation, including system specifications, wiring diagrams, configuration manuals, and solving user guides.
  • Independently configure handling system/electrical motion concepts using SolidWorks and system cycle time calculations as well as quotations.
• Customer Training & Support:
  • Deliver training programs and workshops to customers, ensuring their teams are proficient.
  • Develop customized training materials and user guides tailored to local requirements.
  • Assist customers with resolving technical issues, either remotely or on-site as required.
• Project Implementation & Management:
  • Support project implementation from the initial design phase to final deployment, coordinating with both internal teams and customers to ensure flawless execution.
  • Supervise installation and testing of systems, ensuring they meet technical specifications and customer expectations.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to ensure timely delivery, alignment on project milestones, and high-quality project outcomes.
  • Responsible for execution of FAT and, if needed, SAT for feeding system projects.
• Product Development & Market Insights:
  • Provide market feedback and insights gathered from customer interactions to product management and R&D teams, assisting in future product development and innovation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and new technologies to continually enhance technical expertise.
• Multi-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and product development teams to drive product adoption and meet customer needs.
  • Work with supply chain and logistics to ensure the availability and timely delivery of products for customer projects.
• Perform related work as apparent or assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in application engineering, technical support, or a similar role within the automation industry, specifically with feeding units, Electric handling systems, and Pneumatics valve system commission.
• Strong technical knowledge of feeding units, robotic handling, electric automation systems, valve system commissioning including hands-on experience with system design and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industry standards, automation protocols, and safety laws in Southeast Asia and Taiwan.
