Job description

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the automation and maintenance of mobile and web applications within the banking domain. The successful candidate's primary focus will be on implementing automation processes and coordinating with various teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager - Group Technology (Apps FE - COE (EAI/COE Front End/DevOps/QA) Lead).

Functional Responsibilities

• Connect with different teams to implement Automation and Integration processes for their projects.
• Administer and implement CI tools; manage source code by pushing, pulling, creating repositories, commit and repository polling through CI tools.
• Work on BAU activities including system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all services, reviewing system and application logs.
• Contribute to all aspects of service delivery, including participation in the service readiness process to validate that all required conditions.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in managing team members and coordinating team assignment and activities.
• Recommend improvement of controls and procedures in system security and software changes.
• Propose improvement of work/process flow.
• Propose and recommend guidelines, procedures, and processes.
• Review software solutions on Security, Compliance requirements.

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science & Information Technology.
• 3 years and above work experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Proxy setup and management (forward/reverse) with strong Unix OS, network, and security fundamentals including networking protocols (TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls).
• 3+ years of experience with DevOps automation, UNIX, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
• 3+ years of experience with software development practices including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Agile/SCRUM, and Source Code Management (GIT), using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Shell Scripting, or Fastlane.
• 2+ years of experience with logging formats (JSON, syslog).
• Ability to work with MySQL, Oracle, Redis, and MongoDB databases.
