Design & Development Engineer is responsible for developing innovative product solutions from concept to production. This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, design proficiency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. The engineer will support continuous product improvement, conduct research and testing, and provide technical documentation to drive successful commercialization and manufacturing processes.

Job Description

1. Design and develop new products using Autodesk Inventor software from concept through to production.
2. Perform practical engineering calculations to ensure the functional, safety and reliability of design.
3. Create detailed 3D models, drawings and technical documentation to support the manufacturing process.
4. Collaborate with cross‑department teams including Quality Assurance (QA) and project management to ensure design meets project requirements and timelines.
5. Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and suggestions for improvement.
6. Continuously improve and refine existing products based on customer feedback and analysis.
7. Conceptualize new product designs and equipment to meet customer needs.
8. Conduct research, testing and prototyping to refine product designs and ensure optimal performance.
9. Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to oversee production and delivery of new products.
10. Document product specifications, testing protocols and other technical information to support the commercial process.
11. Stay up to date with industry regulations, safety standards and technology advancements.

Requirements

1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
