Quality Engineer (QE)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly responsible and detail‑oriented Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards. The role involves interpreting and analysing engineering drawings, performing precise inspections, identifying quality issues and recommending process improvements. The incumbent will work closely with production and cross‑functional teams to support continuous improvement and maintain excellence throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for product quality control of the entire production process from samples to mass production; formulate test plans (functional testing, performance testing, stability testing, environmental testing, safety, etc.) according to product design requirements; design test data and test cases and submit test reports.
- Resolve quality problems that arise during product production, handle quality abnormalities and drive quality improvement.
- Follow up on product quality status (Quality Issues Control and tracking list), handle customer complaints and provide solutions.
- Develop inspection standards (QCPs, SIPs, MSOPs) and related documents for product quality.
- Guide and assist outsourced manufacturers in quality improvement, analyse and improve defective materials.
- Handle customer complaints, lead quality meeting reviews and respond to customers with 8D improvement reports.
- Support project development needs; cooperate with PM to complete product development, testing and technical support.
- Train on‑site manufacturing and quality control personnel.
- Manage product‑related certification, patent applications and documentation work.
- Provide and support quality work for Mexico, Jiangxi and other Tutamen branches.
- Build good relationships with customers.
- Complete other tasks assigned by leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with a minimum of 3 years working experience in manufacturing.
- 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or QA roles within the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems requirements.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting and analysing engineering/technical drawings.
- Skilled in the use of measurement and inspection instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges and others.
- Able to work both in a team and independently.
- Experience with Hexagon CMM operation and programming is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Capable of identifying quality issues, root causes and opportunities for process improvement.
- Highly responsible, detail‑oriented and able to follow established procedures and instructions.
- Willingness to adapt to company culture and contribute to organizational growth.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an additional advantage.
