A leading advanced materials manufacturing company in Penang is seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to oversee both IT low-voltage systems and SAP system operations. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and have 3–7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership position. Our facility in Penang supports high-tech production, integrated IT infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Team Lead (IT low-voltage systems / SAP system operations) within our IT department. This role require technical leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure robust IT infrastructure, system reliability, and enterprise application excellence.
Lead the IT low‑voltage technical team in maintenance, and troubleshooting of company current systems.
Develop preventive maintenance plans and enforce best practices for system uptime.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments (IT, facilities, electrical) to ensure project delivery and day‑to‑day support.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, asset inventories, and technical procedures.
Provide technical training and mentorship to team members.
Lead and manage the SAP team to deliver system support, enhancements, testing, and configuration.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, engage in SAP implementations, and ensure business objectives are met.
Monitor system performance, coordinate upgrades, and enforce SAP standards and best practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and guide team members in technical growth.
Prepare documentation and reports on SAP activities and project progress.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business/IT or related field.
3–7 years’ experience in Low Voltage System / SAP System, including at least 2 years in leadership or team coordination experience
Strong functional knowledge.
Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and lead team outcomes.
