Job summary

A leading supplier company in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage procurement activities, implement supply chain processes, and ensure adequate inventory levels. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field and have 1-2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement. Strong negotiation skills and fluency in both English and Malay are essential. This role involves active supplier management and collaboration across departments.

  • Strong and wide knowledge in Procurement best practice.
  • Computer literate with good command of both written and spoken English and Malay.

Job description

Ensuring the procurement activities are executed as per the company’s procurement procedure.

Plan and implement supply chain processes that include Inbounding, Purchase Order, Good Receive Note.

Monitor inventory levels for item inbound warehouse to ensure adequate stock available for Outlets

Work closely with planner on the forecast to supplier

Work with other departments to coordinate activities such as sample request, shipping, receiving, storing, picking, packing, and expediting goods

Negotiating with local supplier on the price, delivery, payment term and services.

Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure a continuous supply of goods and services

Perform other related duties/ tasks as assigned by superior/ management

Identifies supply and supplier issues. Analyses information to assess root cause, improvement and associated risk. Recommends and implements solutions.

Must possess at least a Diploma/ Degree in Procurement/ Business Administration/ Supply Chain/ Operation Management or related field

1 - 2 years working experience in Supply Chain or Procurement functions

Strong and wide knowledge in Procurement best practice and system-oriented background

Computer literate with good command of both written and spoken English and Malay.

Assertive and dynamic, with good communication skills

Confident, proactive, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

A valuable team player and able to work independently

Possess own transport and willing to travel
