Senior Contract Analyst
Job summary
A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Contract Analyst in Kuala Lumpur to develop and manage contracts in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in upstream oil and gas, with a minimum of 7 years specifically as a Lead or Senior Contract Analyst. Strong skills in negotiation and contract compliance are essential.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in upstream oil and gas companies.
- Minimum 7 years of practical experience as a Lead or Senior Contract Analyst.
- Strong knowledge of PETRONAS contractual requirements and processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and manage contracts to ensure compliance.
- Provide contractual and commercial advice.
- Participate in contract negotiations and risk mitigation discussions.
- Monitor contractor performance and manage contract amendments.

- Develop, review, and manage contracts to ensure compliance with company and PETRONAS requirements.
- Provide contractual and commercial advice to project teams and management.
- Participate in contract negotiations, clarifications, and risk mitigation discussions.
- Coordinate with legal, procurement, and project departments to ensure alignment in contract execution.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Manage contract amendments, variations, and close-out activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all contractual documents and correspondence.
- Support audits, claims management, and dispute resolution processes.
- Ensure compliance with PSC, JDA, or RSC contractual frameworks.
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Law, Accountancy, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in upstream oil and gas companies.
- Minimum 7 years of practical experience as a Lead or Senior Contract Analyst.
- Working experience in PSC, JDA, or RSC companies is required.
- Strong knowledge of PETRONAS contractual requirements and processes.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
