A leading offshore service provider in Malaysia seeks a Marine Engineer to operate and monitor engines and auxiliary machinery while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience and necessary certifications. Responsibilities include performing maintenance, assisting in troubleshooting, and maintaining logs and records. This role is vital for ensuring high operational standards in the offshore oil and gas industry, contributing to superior service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Marine Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs under supervision.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues.
  • Maintain engine room logs, reports, and records.

Skills

Experience as a Marine Engineer
Knowledge of engine systems

Education

Valid certification in marine engineering (Class III or equivalent)
BOSIET/TBOSIET with HUET and CA-EBS offshore training certification
