SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

An established and reputable eye specialist practice in the Moot area of Pretoria is seeking a well-presented, experienced Optical/Medical Receptionist to join their professional team. The ideal candidate will be, confident on the phone, and highly organised with a background in optical or medical reception.

Key Responsibilities:

• Professional handling of telephone calls and patient queries
• Appointment scheduling and diary management
• Liaising with patients, doctors, and medical aid providers
• Providing information about procedures and preparing theatre lists
• Obtaining authorisations
• Creating and managing patient files on practice software
• Processing patient information accurately
• Applying ICD10 codes correctly
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an optical or medical receptionist role
• Computer literate with excellent administrative skills
• Strong telephone etiquette and interpersonal communication
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Knowledge of medical/optical software will be beneficial
  
  

Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 08h00 – 17h00

Salary: R16 000 - R21 000 (depending on experience)
