Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in South Africa is seeking a Utilities Team Leader for a permanent on-site position. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a utility's environment, strong property industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include managing relationships with landlords and tenants, overseeing utility management, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Overview

Our client, a properties specialist in the development leasing and management of commercial and industrial real estate, is seeking a Utilities Team Leader to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the relationship between Landlord / Service Providers / Tenants
  • Opening of new accounts with Council
  • Council query management
  • Regular Reporting and risk management
  • Provide support to the team and functions
  • Monitor consumption and recovery thereof
  • Generate cost savings in consumption of electricity and water
  • Leak management
  • Financial reports and accruals
  • Assist with utility accounting and administration function
  • Vetting reports on all related municipal bills
  • Annual tariff audits
  • Tracking municipal valuations
  • Ensure buildings are on most beneficial rates
  • Assessments / feasibility studies and reporting
  • Ensures compliance with relevant Acts and bylaws
  • Assist manager with the processes and systems within the area of accountability to ensure compliance and minimize the business risk

Requirements
