An upscale restaurant located just outside Franschhoek is seeking a Restaurant Floor Manager to oversee daily operations and lead the front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will have a National Senior Certificate and at least two years of experience in a similar role, along with strong client service skills and the ability to handle feedback. This dynamic position requires fluency in Afrikaans and English, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in a floor management or similar leadership role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, with emphasis on high-volume service.
  • Ability to work hospitality hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily floor operations, ensuring excellent service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and coordinate FOH staff, managing scheduling and training.
  • Ensure seamless communication between FOH and BOH teams.
  • Maintain restaurant ambience and cleanliness, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist with group bookings and events, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Handle guest inquiries and special requests, resolving complaints professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and hospitality standards.
