We are seeking a Logistic/Traffic Executive to join our team at WAFERTEK SOLUTIONS SDN. BHD' in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This is a full‑time position that will play a key role in our Warehousing, Storage & Distribution operations.
Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics for the company
Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders and other logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
Monitor inventory levels and identify any potential supply chain bottlenecks
Prepare and analyse logistics data and reports
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise logistics operations
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and company policies
Provide support and guidance to the wider team on logistics‑related matters
Any other matter assigned by the company
Liaise with customs officers and regulatory agencies for import/export processes.
Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations, permits, and documentation requirements.
Prepare, verify, and submit monthly customs‑related reports and statutory documents on time (e.g., SST, M1/M2 forms, clearance logs, etc.).
Maintain accurate records of customs documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Monitor regulatory updates and ensure the company remains compliant with any changes.
Coordinate and arrange transport, courier services, or outbound shipments to customers according to delivery schedules.
Select appropriate shipping methods (air, sea, land, courier) based on customer needs, cost, and urgency.
Prepare shipping instructions, packing lists, and delivery orders.
Track and monitor shipment status to ensure timely delivery.
Follow up with carriers, freight forwarders, or courier companies regarding delays, issues, or special handling requirements.
Work closely with warehouse, sales, and procurement teams to plan and schedule outgoing deliveries.
Ensure inventory availability and correct product picking for outgoing shipments.
Optimize transport routes and costs while maintaining service quality.
Coordinate returns, exchanges, or reverse logistics when required.
Prepare and maintain all shipping, transportation, and customs documents.
Update logistics records in the ERP/warehouse system accurately.
Generate monthly logistics performance reports, shipment summaries, and documentation submissions.
Handle filing, archiving, and maintaining organised documentation for easy retrieval.
Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules and shipment updates.
Liaise with courier companies, freight forwarders, and transport vendors to ensure smooth operations.
Resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, or customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance logistics efficiency.
Support ad‑hoc tasks such as inventory checks, stock movement coordination, and urgent shipment requests.
Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and safety standards.
Good relationship with custom authority and able to solve issue and get solutions from the authority effectively and efficiently.
Able to support the application for the company to get LMW license.
Ability with knowledge to assist in tax exemption application (from custom department and MIDA) if the company is still in progress in getting LMW license.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a logistics or traffic management role, preferably within the manufacturing or transportation industries
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve logistics‑related issues
Proficient in using logistics management software and data analysis tools
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and best practices in logistics and supply chain management
A team player with a proactive and customer‑focused approach
