Job summary
A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking an experienced Operation Manager to oversee and optimize operational activities within the semiconductor automation solutions sector. This role emphasizes strong leadership and analytical skills to manage daily operations across assembly, manufacturing, logistics, and quality assurance. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably in high-tech environments. This position requires a commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in operations management within manufacturing or high-tech.
- Expertise in CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication.
- Demonstrated commitment to driving change and improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations in manufacturing and assembly.
- Develop and implement operational strategies for productivity.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and company policies.
- Collaborate with teams to support project execution.

Skills
Education
Oversee and optimize all operational activities within the system integration assembly environment for semiconductor automation solutions, with a strong focus on CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly. The Operation Manager ensures seamless workflow, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Lead and manage daily operations across manufacturing, assembly, logistics, and quality assurance to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure strict compliance with international standards, company policies, and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, supply chain, and project management—to support seamless project execution.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Champion change initiatives and drive continuous improvement across all operational processes.
- Oversee resource allocation, workforce planning, and training to maintain high standards of performance.
- Proactively resolve operational issues and support teams in overcoming challenges.
- Foster a culture of diligence, responsibility, and high self-motivation, encouraging team members to go the extra mile to achieve results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in operations management within a manufacturing or high-tech environment; semiconductor industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly operations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
