Job description

As aBid Manager in the area of program business, you will be part of a dedicated international team that makes a significant contribution to the successful implementation of long-term service contracts for power plants.

In collaboration with the service sales department, you will combine individual components of our service offerings into customized solutions, coordinate technical details, and, with commercial support, calculate key project metrics such as EBIT, EVA, costs, and pricing. In addition, you will support our marketing and sales managers in customer negotiations and work together to develop customer-specific solutions.

Your work makes a direct contribution to long-term partnerships and reliable energy supply for our customers – and thus to a more sustainable future. Do you have experience in working with project teams and have a university degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or similar and do you have professional experience in the power plant industry? How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Preparation of the offer calculation for long-term maintenance contracts (Long-Term Program, Operation & Maintenance Contract) with the usual components gas turbine, generator, steam turbine as well as electrical and control technology
  • Clarification of concepts and costs in the context of bid processing
  • Involvement of the participating departments (e.g. engineering, field service, etc.) and monitoring of the supply processes for quotation content
  • Involvement in gathering field service cost data, including local field service rates and subcontractor expenses (e.g., site infrastructure, insulation, scaffolding, etc.).
  • Participation in the regular update of the Regional Field Service standard quantity structures
  • Regular revision of the standard quotation text modules
  • Risk management of the technical, commercial and contractual project conditions based on existing rules & regulations
  • Determination of key figures (EBIT, EVA, etc.) for the bidding projects, among others
What you bring
  • Successfully completed university degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in cost and/or risk management, ideally in the environment of service or EPC projects in the energy sector.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the power plant industry or power plant service
  • Knowledge in the preparation of risk analyses as well as in the use of calculation and reporting tools.
  • Experienced in the use of MS Office software (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)
  • Fluent in English, other language skills (German) desirable
