Manager, Compliance (AML/CFT)
Job summary
A leading investment bank in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Compliance Officer to conduct AML reviews and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Banking/Law and have at least 7 years of experience in compliance or risk management. Strong leadership and analytical skills are required. This role involves preparing compliance reports, providing advisory on AML matters, and building relationships with business units to foster a culture of compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit.
- Knowledge of BNM and/or SC regulations pertaining to AML.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct AML reviews and monitoring for stockbroking and investment banking.
- Prepare compliance reports and escalate non-compliance issues.
- Assist in developing and reviewing AML related policies.
Skills
Education
Conduct AML reviews and monitoring on stockbroking and investment banking divisions in accordance with AML programme and stipulated timelines and prepare compliance reports.
Conduct AML reviews to ensure business units adhere to regulatory requirements and the Bank's policies and procedures.
Escalate issues of non-compliance to the Head of Compliance (HOC) and/or line management timely.
Assist HOC to ensure the AML programme is effective and up to date.
Assist HOC to develop and review AML related policies and procedures.
Provide advisory to business units on AML related matters.
Develop close relationship with business units to engender a culture of compliance within the business.
Assist HOC to provide continuous training to business units on AML related matters.
Assist HOC in handling regulators' requests.
Possess Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance/Banking/Law or any equivalent field.
Minimum 7 years of working experience in compliance, risk management, or audit related field.
Conversant with the BNM and/or SC regulations that pertain to AML.
Good leadership and team management skills.
Able to work under pressure and independently.
Strong analytical skills and report writing skills.
