Job summary
A leading resource management company in Malaysia is seeking a Treasury Manager to handle trade finance operations, monitor treasury activities, and ensure compliance with banking regulations. Candidates should possess a degree in Finance, have 5 years of experience in cash management, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role, which plays a vital part in managing financial disclosures and team coordination.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of working experience in cash management, treasury, and trade finance.
- Familiarity with the exchange control regulations of Malaysia.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Manage and review trade finance operations, including LC opening and documentation.
- Monitor treasury activities such as cash flow and banking transactions.
- Execute and monitor Foreign Exchange hedging activities and reporting.

- Manage and review trade finance operations including LC opening, advising, amendment, and import/export documentation to ensure conformity with applicable standard banking practices.
- Manage and monitor treasury activities such as cash flow and funding management, and execute banking transactions.
- Execute and monitor Foreign Exchange hedging activities, prepare necessary reports/documentation, and analyze Forex exposure and hedging.
- Coordinate and facilitate commodities derivatives hedging activities.
- Plan and manage cash flow projections and funding requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial covenants of banking facilities.
- Manage and monitor the cash position of group companies, including inter‑company cash movements and treasury activities.
- Take responsibility for treasury‑related financial disclosures, treasury‑related journal entries, and month‑end closing activities.
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.
- Candidate must possess a degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, or Economics.
- At least 5 years of working experience in cash management, treasury, trade finance, financing documentation for international trade, banking transactions, and familiarity with the exchange control regulations of Malaysia.
- Working experience in financial institutions is an added advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills and is a good team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
