Job summary
A reputable law firm in Johor Bahru is seeking a Senior Associate specializing in Technology and Corporate Law. The role involves leading legal matters, managing transactional work, and providing viable legal advice. Candidates must have a minimum of four years of post-qualification experience, familiarity with M&A, and excellent communication skills. This position allows for independent work while also requiring strong client management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/transactional law.
- Experience in handling mergers and acquisitions and corporate advisory matters.
- Familiarity with Personal Data Protection and Fintech is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee legal matters from start to finish.
- Draft and review complex contracts and agreements.
- Provide practical and commercially viable legal advice.
- Prepare policies for governance purposes.

- Lead and oversee legal matters from start to finish, requiring both technical expertise and strong client management abilities.
- Manage transactional legal work, which includes drafting and reviewing complex contracts and agreements.
- Provide practical and commercially viable legal advice across a range of matters.
- Prepare policies and frameworks for governance purposes.
- Capable of working independently and managing files with minimal supervision.
- Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate/transactional law.
- Well-versed in handling mergers and acquisitions (M&A), commercial contracts, and corporate advisory matters.
- Familiarity with Personal Data Protection, Fintech, Intellectual Property (IP), and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) is considered an added advantage.
- Proven track record of managing files and clients independently, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while being a team player in a fast-paced environment.
