Job description

As a Senior Legal Counsel/Legal Counsel at Siemens Energy, you’ll start your day collaborating with colleagues across Asia Pacific and internationally — reviewing contracts, advising on large-scale contracts in project delivery, product areas, service agreements, as well as in the field of energy transmission and grid digitalization within the energy sector, both in the bidding and execution phases and resolving complex legal issues that help drive the Asia Pacific’s energy transition. Your work will span contract negotiations, risk management, and supporting innovation within the Grid Technologies Business Area. You’ll be a trusted advisor to business leaders, ensuring legal integrity while enabling progress toward a sustainable energy future.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Be the trusted advisor and manage legal matters/risks in relation to general commercial, trade and contract law in national and international business for Siemens Energy’s Grid Technology Business in Asia Pacific.

Analyze and comment on tenders, contracts and contract related documents and give proactive advice and participate in contract negotiations and in formulation/implementation of negotiation strategy.

  • Check compliance with other internal guidelines and / or processes as well as external regulations.
  • Support execution and claim management. You engage and manage external law firms in dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Contribute to standardization and digitalization of contracts and improvement processes and collaborate closely within the global LC community.
  • Develop and provide training and educate key stakeholders.
What You Bring

You have gained several years of professional experience in the legal department of an internationally operating company or a law firm, preferably in relation to international projects.

Relevant professional experience with a proven track record of successfully managing legal risks in complex transactions.

Deep knowledge of contract law and international contract practice and the ability to lead personally strategic contracts/negotiations.

You are customer orientated and have a passion to enable business transactions pragmatically and to inspire change. You are able to handle multiple demands at the same time.

You enjoy working in a team and in an international environment.

Excellent language skills in verbal and written English and Thai. An additional Asian language (and other language skills) would be considered an asset.
