Job summary
A financial services company in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full accounting processes. Candidates must have a Diploma/Degree in Accounting and 3-4 years of relevant experience within Banking & Finance or Fintech. Strong skills in Excel and accounting software along with knowledge of automation tools are required. The position offers benefits like annual leave, medical insurance, and a performance bonus, with commuting to Singapore required for several days a week.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for full set of accounting processes for a few entities.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements.
- Review monthly management accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties.
- In-charge of tax and regulatory submissions.
- Lead new processes and system implementation.
Skills
Education
Diploma/Degree in Accounting or a related discipline
3-4 years relevant experience within Banking & Finance, Fintech industry or audit
Strong understanding/appreciation of excel, accounting software, automation tools using API
Good knowledge of relevant technologies (e.g. RPA) or methodologies (e.g MACRO, VBA, Power Query) to improve user experience and streamline work processes
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, and a proactive team player
Willing to challenge status quo
Note: You must be willing to commute to the Singapore Office (Shenton Way / Telok Ayer / Raffles Place) 3–4 days per week as part of role requirements till probation ends unless stated otherwise by the hiring team. Transportation Allowance will be given when needed to commute.

- Responsible for full set of accounting processes and tasks (i.e. AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation etc.) for a few entities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements
- Review monthly management accounts, financial statements and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with internal and external parties including external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities
- In-charge of submission of all tax and regulatory filing, statutory audits, procedures and forms
