Job summary
A manufacturing and maintenance company located in Kulai, Malaysia, is seeking an Electrical Technician to perform various electrical maintenance and repair tasks. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, with 1-2 years of experience in the field, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues safely. This role includes conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring optimal equipment performance while complying with all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Engineering studies (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic/Automotive) or equivalent.
- Ability to handle electrical breakdowns and troubleshoot safely.
- 1-2 years of working experience in the related field.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly electrical maintenance and repair activities.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly electrical maintenance and repair activities according to the maintenance schedule.
Comply with established work instructions, safety rules, and company policies at all times.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and overhead cranes.
Perform routine replacement of blowers and filters for slitters, electrical panels, motors, and related equipment on a weekly basis.
Install, repair, and replace lighting systems, fans, and other electrical appliances as required.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize equipment downtime.
Accurately complete maintenance records, forms, and checklists after each task.
Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and relocation, including electrical wiring and trunking works.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
Possess a minimum Certificate/Diploma in Engineering studies (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic/Automotive) or equivalent.
Ability to handle electrical breakdown and troubleshoot in safety manner with keen eye for details and accuracy of works.
At least 1 - 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
