The Role: Advisor, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our Finance Shared Services team.

This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end AR operations for our business units in the China market. The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate processing of AR transactions, perform account reconciliations, and resolve billing issues in compliance with company policies and local regulations. The position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage region-specific documentation effectively.

What You’ll Do:

Accurately process and apply incoming customer payments to respective accounts in the ERP system (e.g., SAP), ensuring timely posting and resolution of any discrepancies.

Manage the submission through VAT invoice issuance portal and submission to customer portals, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with Chinese tax regulations and company standards.

Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts, ledgers, and bank statements to ensure completeness and resolve outstanding items promptly.

Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Service, Credit Management teams) to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries efficiently.

Support financial close processes by preparing journal entries, reports, and audit documentation in accordance with internal timelines.

Assist in responding to internal and external audit requests by providing relevant documentation and clarifications.

Ensure all AR processes are documented and comply with internal controls (e.g., SOX), finance policies, and local statutory requirements. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Support various ad-hoc requests and initiatives as assigned by management.

What We Seek:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting, preferably within a Shared Services or multinational corporate environment.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, AR processes, and financial reporting standards.

High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective time management, and a collaborative team mindset.
