Job summary
A leading logistics firm is looking for a Supply Chain Assistant Manager to develop suppliers and manage procurement processes. Responsibilities include identifying competitive local suppliers, conducting cost analysis, and acting as the liaison between suppliers and internal teams. Ideal candidates will have strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills. The position is based in Bandar Sultan Suleiman, Port Klang, providing opportunities for impactful contributions in supply chain management.
Qualifications

- Detail-oriented with good record keeping ability.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop competitive local suppliers to support direct and indirect materials.
- Manage RFQ processes, price negotiation, and supplier nomination.
- Conduct cost structure analysis and market benchmarking.
- Act as the main liaison between suppliers and internal departments.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives such as value engineering.
- Perform supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
Skills
- Indentify and develop competitive local suppliers to support direct and indirect materials.
- Manage RFQ processes, price negotiation, and supplier nomination to meet project cost and delivery targets.
- Conduct cost structure analysis and market benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing and cost saving.
- Act as the main liaison between suppliers and internal departments to align on technical and quality requirements.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives such as value engineering, local substitution and process optimization.
- Perform supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure stable supply continuity.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, contracts and supplier records for audit and compliance.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.

- Detail-oriented with good record keeping ability.
- Must be willing to be based at Bandar Sultan Suleiman, Port Klang
