TES Global Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our laboratory in Ampang, Selangor. As a Chemist, you will play a crucial role in determining precious-metal content through accurate and reliable analytical techniques. This full-time role is ideal for a fresh graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in the gold-refining and laboratory industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing fire assays, cupellation, weighing, flux preparation, and furnace operations to determine gold and precious-metal content in raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
• Preparing and handling samples in strict accordance with SOPs, QA/QC protocols, and safety requirements
• Recording, documenting, and reporting analytical results with high precision and traceability
• Interpreting assay data to support production decisions, yield calculations, and process optimisation
• Maintaining, cleaning, and calibrating laboratory equipment such as analytical balances, muffle furnaces, and digestion systems
• Collaborating with production, compliance, and quality‑control teams to ensure smooth operation of refinery processes
• Supporting laboratory compliance with internal standards and external requirements such as SIRIM, NMIM, ISO-based procedures, and audit expectations
• Continuously learning and adopting new analytical techniques and safety improvements in fire assay and precious‑metal laboratories

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
• Must be a Certified Chemist, registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., Institut Kimia Malaysia or equivalent)
• Strong interest or experience in fire assay, analytical chemistry, or metallurgy
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to accuracy
• Practical laboratory experience from internships, projects, or prior roles is an added advantage
• Familiarity with assay‑related equipment such as analytical balances, crucibles, cupels, furnaces, digestion systems, etc.
• Solid understanding of laboratory safety protocols, chemical handling, and QA/QC procedures
• Effective communication, teamwork, and willingness to work in a fast‑paced refinery environment
• Passion for scientific integrity, precision, and continuous professional growth
