Oriental Fastech Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a committed Logistics & Customs Process Officer to join our operations in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. This role will be pivotal in ensuring end-to-end logistics coordination and full compliance with customs requirements, safeguarding operational continuity and regulatory adherence across our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Customs Compliance & Documentation

• Prepare and submit import/export documentation—including declarations, permits, and invoices—in alignment with prevailing customs regulations.
• Ensure accurate HS code classification and correct application of duties, tariffs, and exemptions.

Coordination with Authorities & External Partners

• Engage proactively with customs officers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to drive seamless clearance processes.
• Monitor inspections, duties, taxes, and related clearance prerequisites to prevent operational bottlenecks.

Record-Keeping & Reporting

• Maintain complete, audit-ready documentation for all customs transactions.
• Update ERP and logistics platforms with real-time status and supporting documents.

Compliance Monitoring

• Enforce strict adherence to internal policies, local customs laws, and international trade regulations.
• Flag potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation measures to strengthen governance.

Support for Warehouse & Logistics Operations

• Coordinate closely with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customs-related discrepancies or delays.

Process Improvement & Continuous Enhancement

• Identify workflow gaps and propose improvements to expedite customs clearance and optimize turnaround times.
• Keep abreast of legislative updates, tariff changes, and regulatory shifts impacting the metal manufacturing sector.
