Job Title: Payroll Controller Specialist

Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll cycles for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local legislation and company policies.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure payroll practices comply with Fair Work Act (AU), Holidays Act (NZ), tax laws, superannuation/KiwiSaver, and statutory reporting (e.g., STP, PAYG, IRD).
  • Audit & Controls: Maintain internal controls, perform reconciliations, and support internal/external audits.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party payroll providers and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Employee Support: Address payroll-related queries from employees and HR teams in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, leave balances, and benefits.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and Compliance teams to align payroll with organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (minimum of 6 years) in payroll processing and administration (for Australia and New Zealand)
