Job summary
A leading specialist in neon signage in Malaysia seeks a Technical Designer to prepare technical drawings for signage fabrication and convert design concepts into production-ready drawings. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator, strong technical drawing skills, and attention to detail. Fresh graduates with a good attitude are also welcome. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth and is located in Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya.
Qualifications
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong technical drawing and design skills.
- Experience in neon signage or advertising display design is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings for signage fabrication.
- Convert design concepts into production-ready drawings.
- Create shop drawings and fabrication diagrams.

- Prepare detailed technical drawings for signage fabrication — including dimensions, material specs, mounting details, and illumination methods (LED, backlit, etc.)
- Convert design concepts (from designers or client) into production‑ready drawings (AutoCAD / Illustrator)
- Create shop drawings and fabrication diagrams for each signage component (lightbox, 3D letters, acrylic panel, aluminium frame, etc.)
- Generate approval drawings for client submission (with accurate dimensions, elevation views, and finish labels)
- Coordinate with production to ensure drawings match material capabilities
- Revise drawings based on client feedback
- Maintain drawing archives — properly label and store all DWG/AI/PDF files for each project
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Engineering, or related field
- Fresh Grads with good attitude will also be considered
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Adobe Illustrator
- Strong technical drawing and design skills
- Experience in neon signage or advertising display design is preferred
- Good understanding of production processes and materials used in signage
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
- Language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm.
- Willing to work at Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya.
