JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• With the guidance of the Head of Section and Unit, engage with the borrowers, issuers, fund managers, brokers, consultants, agent banks, arrangers, regulatory authorities on fixed income investment proposals, corporate exercises and due diligence for new and existing fixed income investments;
• Conduct in-depth research, recommend creditworthiness and perform timely reviews of fixed income securities and fund managers;
• Assess investment proposals and prepare investment recommendations for the purpose of Management and Panel approval;
• Collaborate alongside internal departments in preparing and finalizing all documentations in relation to the fixed income investments according to the approved terms and conditions;
• Monitor economic indicators, financial and bond market performance and outlook;
• Monitor rating actions and keep abreast of material corporate news of fixed income securities closely and produce impact analysis and credit views in a timely manner;
• Prepare periodic and ad hoc performance reports for information and approval by the Management & Investment Panel;
• Participate in investor/issuer/fund manager conference calls, meetings and site visits as and when required and prepare reports when necessary;
• Work with the Head of Section and Unit to ensure cohesive and efficient teamwork while complying with the Standard Operating Manual of the department;
• Perform ad hoc, administrative and relief duties as assigned from time to time;
• Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with various stakeholders within the organisation and external ones such as trustees, consultants, solicitors, banks and other investors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Malaysian citizen.
• Possess Bachelor’s Degree from any local or overseas universities which recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) with minimum CGPA 3.25 or 2:1 class above.
• Passed SPM examination or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government with credit in Bahasa Malaysia.
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in credit research/ specific deal origination/ Fixed Income investment or related fields.
• Performance oriented, capable to offer new ideas and articulate.
• Analytical aptitude and ability to learn new concepts.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in both Malay and English.
• Self-starter with ability to work as a team to deliver consistent and good quality outcomes within stipulated timeline and according to the internal processes in place.
