Are you a finance professional with a passion for project accounting, financial transformation, and governance? This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-impact transformation initiative at a leading global insurer in Malaysia.

Oliver James Consulting is partnering with a top-tier insurer to find a Project Accountant who will be responsible for investment tracking, governance, and financial reporting within a large-scale finance transformation programme. You'll work closely with regional finance teams to establish robust project accounting processes and drive operational efficiency.

Project Cost Governance & Reporting - Establish and maintain financial tracking systems to capture investment spend and project benefits.
Financial Analysis & Forecasting - Work closely with Local Business Units (LBUs) to ensure accurate project cost data and quarterly forecasts.
Process Optimization & System Implementation - Support the development of new cost centre structures, contribute to Oracle system enhancements, and document best practices.
Legacy System Cleanup - Lead the streamlining of project codes and financial reporting structures to align with transformation objectives.

Qualified Accountant (preferred) or Business Analyst with experience in system implementation and financial reporting.
Strong Excel skills; experience with Oracle, SmartView, or Power BI is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in financial governance, project accounting, or transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
