A premier global hospitality firm is seeking a Chief Accountant for their location in Lumut, Perak. This crucial role involves managing financial statements, supervising cashier funds, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate must possess a Commerce degree in Accounting & Management, have at least three years of managerial experience within the hospitality sector, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Fluency in English is essential for successful collaboration within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as General Ledger Supervisor or higher in hospitality.
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local accounting laws and tax laws.
• Mature and reliable person with flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and accounting vouchers.
• Supervise cashier's funds and perform bank reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with Hilton standards in travel agent commission payments.
• Report accounting matters directly to the Assistant Controller and Controller.

Skills

Solid working experience in hotel accounting

Fluent in both written and spoken English

Good relationship with local bank and government agencies

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Education

University preferred Commerce degree in Accounting & Management
