Key Responsibilities :
Design and Analysis : Perform structural engineering design and analysis for various projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
Project Management : Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Technical Documentation : Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
Site Supervision : Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Client Liaison : Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all designs and projects comply with relevant local and national regulations.
Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications :
Education : BSc / BEng degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Registration : Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA.
Experience : Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering consulting, with a focus on design, project management, and contract administration.
Software Proficiency : Proficiency in engineering software such as Prokon, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Experience with civil design software is advantageous. Skills and Competencies :
Technical Expertise : Strong technical knowledge in Civil & Structural engineering principles and practices.
Project Management : Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
Problem-Solving : Ability to identify and solve engineering problems effectively.
Team Leadership : Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff.
Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
