Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in South Africa is seeking a Professional Nurse Specialised - Cath Lab to deliver comprehensive nursing care. Responsibilities include collaborating with a multi-professional team, managing patient safety risks, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates must have a Degree or Diploma in General Nursing; experience is not required but a year in a specialised unit is preferred. This position is permanent and on-site, offering an opportunity to enhance your nursing career.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in General Nursing is essential.
- Midwifery and postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
- No minimum experience required, but 1 year post-graduate experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
- Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
- Facilitate a positive patient experience.
- Provide accurate records of all nursing interventions.
- Create a learning environment to build staff competence.
- Ensure accurate charging of stock and equipment.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree / Diploma in General Nursing
DESIRED EDUCATION: Midwifery; Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in relevant specialty area
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit
- Infection prevention and control
- Pharmacology
- Scientific nursing principles and process
- Nursing processes and procedures
- Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
- Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards)
