Location: Bloemfontein

Our client in Academia, a leader in Higher Education is seeking an experienced academic leader with a passion for Construction Management and the Built Environment. This role combines teaching, research, and leadership, with opportunities to contribute to the field through academic excellence, community engagement, and industry collaboration.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Teaching and assessment in Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Property Evaluation Practice, and Built Environment modules.

  • Research, postgraduate supervision, and publication output.

  • Academic leadership, administration, and community engagement.

  • Active participation in curriculum development and industry-related projects.

Minimum Requirements:
Associate Professor Level

  • Doctorate (NQF 10) in Construction Management, Construction Project Management, or Built Environment.

  • Minimum of 6 years’ relevant lecturing experience.

  • Proven research output (minimum 4.5 cumulative credit units).

  • Supervision of Master’s/Doctoral students (as specified).

  • At least 10 conference presentations, including 3 at international level.

  • Leadership of at least one research project.

Senior Lecturer Level

  • Doctorate (NQF 10) in Construction Management, Construction Project Management, or Built Environment.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant lecturing experience.

  • Research output (1.5 credit units minimum).

  • Supervision of Master’s students (as specified).

  • At least 4 conference presentations, including 1 international.

  • Involvement in at least one community project.

Desired Knowledge and Experience (Associate Professor Level):

  • Strong peer-reviewed publication record (h-index, i10-index advantageous).

  • Research grants acquisition (local and international).

  • NRF rating (added advantage).

  • Teaching qualification in higher education.

  • Ability to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  • Registration with SACQSP (Pr. QS) and/or SACPCMP (Pr. CM / Pr. CPM).

  • Industry and multicultural environment experience.

  • Active engagement with the professional and broader community.
