Key Performance Areas (inter-alia)
- Participate in key decisions as a member of executive management team
- Manage the various accounting departments
- Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
- Interact with managers to provide support to planning and financial initiatives
- Develop financial and tax strategies in consultation with external auditors
- Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
- Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction
- Ensure record systems are maintained according to generally accepted auditing standards
- Oversee the issuance of financial information & financial results
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, cost controls and expenses to guide business leaders
- Ensure compliance to legal and regulatory requirements
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems – incl. insurance coverage
- Maintain relations with external auditors and follow through on recommendations
- Monitor cash balances and forecasts
- Arrange for debt and equity financing
- Maintain banking relationship
