Principal Network Consultant Manager, Cloud Services

Report to: Manager Cloud Services
This position will work under the direction of the Senior Manager, Cloud Services.
Geographical Responsibilities: Group-wide role supporting Group Office and Local Business Units.

Ensures IT service availability and minimizes business impact of IT service outages through the effective management and governance of the network, infrastructure, and data center outsourcing arrangements.

Contributes to the improvement of user satisfaction with IT services by ensuring that the network, infrastructure, and data center outsourcing arrangements remain aligned with business needs and priorities and fit for purpose.

Ensures the realization of the outsourcing objectives of reduced risk, enhanced flexibility, enhanced transparency and cost efficiency through the effective outsourced network, infrastructure, and data center services.

1. Contributes to the Network Strategy, Policies, Processes and Standards at the enterprise level on behalf of the Network Services function.
2. Monitors and reports on the productivity and efficient allocation of functional resources.
3. Participates in the evaluation and acceptance of deliverables and project outputs based on acceptance criteria, best practice, and technology standards.
4. Participates in incident calls for Group and BU network incidents as required.
5. Provides subject matter expertise in the specification of AIAs business requirements, performance levels and the scoping of Network initiatives, changes, and service requests.
6. Reviews Network solution proposals and provides subject matter input, advice, and feedback.
7. Provides subject matter expertise as input into the service continuity and disaster recovery solutions development, implementation, and testing.
8. Direct management/supervision of External Contractors.

1. Ensures the relevant functional services are delivered in accordance with contractual or agreed service levels and Key Performance Indicators.
2. Monitors delivery progress against targets, reporting as necessary and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to address exceptions and variations.
3. Works with Suppliers and partner organizations to offer Network solution leadership, solution design and assurance services as needed/requested.
4. Works with Business Units, Suppliers, and partner organizations to ensure Network solutions deployed across the group are fit for purpose and implemented effectively to company's standards.
5. Conducts analysis of demand for services and influences stakeholders to ensure that the necessary investments are made to deliver required services and participates in the scoping of service improvement initiatives.

Measurement of the position will be against internal SLA/O targets. Other responsibilities and duties will be periodically assigned to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Communication with stakeholders including but not limited to local Business Units, Risk, Audit, IT, Corporate Security, Human Resources, and communication at all levels within key vendors including Microsoft, AWS, Ali-Cloud, and network managed service providers.

Excellent command of spoken and written English to allow communication with all levels of stakeholders. Ability to communicate and articulate at CxO level.

1. University Degree (Bachelors or Masters) or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum 6 years specializing in Networking.
3. Hands-on experience on network design including system integration.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
5. Experience in work with and governing suppliers performance in an outsourced environment, OR Life insurance experience within a regional or multinational scope will be an advantage.
6. Experience within a decentralized organization, preferably within the Group unit.
7. Sound understanding of IT operating model design and best practices.
8. Team player adept at collaborating with internal & external parties to develop ideal solution for the business.
9. Strong decision maker, with transparent & timely communication & follow-up.
10. Excellent listening, writing, speaking, presentation and facilitation skills.
11. Flexible, hands-on and able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, client-focused and collaborative environment.

1. ITIL V3/4 Foundation certification or higher.
2. Cisco CCNA, CCNP Enterprise or equivalent.
3. SD-WAN design and implementation experience/certification.
4. Checkpoint, Palo Alto Security device experience/certification.
5. LAN/WAN optimization technology experience/certification.
6. Cloud Networking - Azure/AWS/GCP experience/certification.
7. Other relevant technical qualifications.
